More butterflies, bushes and…anise hyssop!

There were butterflies everywhere in the garden this morning. Mostly peacocks, but lots of others too. They were on the windows, on the ground, in seed trays… I keep tweeting about them, mostly because it’s such a contrast to last year, when there were not that many. As well as the better weather, could it also have something to do with the fields around us remaining unsprayed on the whole this year?

The buddleia must be a far happier butterfly bush than it was in 2012 too with such lovely visitors.

And I’d never noticed butterflies on the anise hyssop before:
